The contest is open for professionals and amateurs, and the only condition is that you must use the Nobile logo and 50Fifty Nobile board shape.

Here's a video of Eric Rienstra charging hard, riding again on Slingshot gear.  The setup in the video includes him killing the wakestyle with the new 2009 Slingshot RPM kite and Reflex wakeboard.  Good to see some new footage of this stylish rider with his new sponsor.

I recently stumbled across Imagine Eco Aurfboards, a small company owned by surfers/kiteboarders in Montreal.  Lots of innovative ideas exist in their product lineup such as their take-apart surfboards, asymmetrical surfboards along with their ecological approach to construction materials.  This company has great positioning on their environmental responsibility to the riders, themselves and the future and you can check out their website for more  (and take a look at Julien Fillion slashing the wave in the photo below on an Imagine Eco board!)

Update Day 1

A few weeks ago, I had the luxury of test riding the new Wainman Hawaii 12m Boss from the Rabbit series of kites.   This was a weekend where for once, I went to the beach without any gear, so I had no choice but to ride other people’s gear.  What a great way to compare kites!

The Ontario Kiteboard Association’s central goal is to build a membership base of kiteboarders that works together and builds a healthy kiteboard community. Membership is optional; kiteboarders are encouraged to join and to contribute to shaping the future of kiteboarding in Ontario.  Well, here it is.  The first blog post on thechickenloop.com.   It's 1am and I should be getting some sleep before I go to work tomorrow, but I feel as if the passion behind this sport and developing this site is completely taking over my ability to shut my body off.  I happen to sit at this computer screen for hours on end, learning how to put things together so in the end, my dream of having a unified community of Canadian kiteboarders can finally come to fruition.
